Project Goal
Improving the nutrition status of children under five years born to teenage mothers for a healthy early childhood development.
Specific Objectives
1) To build the capacity of 100 teenage mothers in optimal Maternal Infant and Young Child feeding (IYCF) practices
2) To train 100 mothers in sustainable production practices for nutrient-dense foods and other life skills.
This project is as a result of the recent assessment we did in Kasese District-Needs Assessment-Stunting among Children aged 6-59 months born to teenage mothers in Kasese that revealed 56.4% of the children assessed being stunted. Read report HERE
The project will piloted in Maliba sub county, Busongora county North under a Parish Nutrition Modal (PNM).
